Essex Country Show – Barleylands Billericay
What was once an Essex farming family’s informal gathering of a few steam engines, the Essex Country Show in August is now the largest of its kind in the South East. With an average of 35,000 visitors over the weekend and with activities ranging from a steam rally, ‘monster trucks’, sheepdog trials and a local food fair, the Barleylands Essex Country Show is one of BSW Marquees biggest customers.
We have been supplying Barleylands in Billericay, Essex with their marquees and frame tents for over 20 years. For this year’s show we supplied 8 traditional marquees and 17 frame clearspan marquees. The show took a week and 12 staff to set up. Then once set up we had 3 or 4 staff permanently on site on each day of the event to ensure everything went according to plan. All our staff are fully trained and all our work is fully insured. There were no problems.
The Essex Country Show is a big deal for us at BSW Marquees. But as we head in to Autumn we are now looking for bookings for any event large or small in the run up to Christmas or spring 2015.
